EAST ORANGE, NEW JERSEY – April 16, 2024 – Pride Academy Charter School is proud to announce its exceptional performance in the recently released 2022-2023 School Performance Reports by the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE). Outperforming 99% of all schools in New Jersey, Pride Academy stands at the forefront of academic achievement and student growth. Only four schools in all of New Jersey had this ranking and Pride Academy is one of them.
The NJDOE’s report, which evaluates student growth in English language arts (ELA) and Mathematics, places Pride Academy in the top percentile statewide. This achievement underscores the school’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and ensuring that every student works toward reaching their full potential.
Pride Academy is one of only 21 schools in New Jersey to exceed expected growth in both ELA and Math. The school’s commitment to academic excellence and personalized support has enabled students to thrive academically, regardless of their starting points.
“We celebrate these incredible results and recognize the tireless work of our educators and students,” said Harry Lee, President and CEO of the New Jersey Public Charter Schools Association. “The Charter School successes demonstrate the positive impact that charter schools are having in communities across New Jersey.”
The achievement of Pride Academy and other top-performing charter schools highlights the effectiveness of innovative educational approaches in driving student success. The success of Pride Academy Charter School underscores the broader impact of public charter schools in providing high-quality education and driving student achievement. With a commitment to excellence, innovation, and equity, Pride Academy continues to contribute to setting the standard for educational excellence in New Jersey.
