The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship and helps middle-level students develop the knowledge and skills to become well-rounded student leaders in their school, community, and beyond. At Pride Academy, scholars who exhibit the highest academic achievement and leadership abilities are chosen to apply through a rigorous application process. They are the student leaders of the school and are highly involved in our community. Each year, NJHS scholars are expected to earn 100 service hours minimum, and can earn a distinguished award for earning more than 150 service hours.

During the 2024 – 2025 school year, Pride Academy had 21 students in NJHS across 6th to 8th grade, with a combined total of 1,891 service hours completed. Nine NJHS 8th grade students graduated, with seven earning our distinguished award. This past year, we held many fundraisers and helped with events around the school.
